Zygote is a diploid cell (fertilized egg) resulting from the fusion of haploid female gamete (Ovum, female reproductive/sex cell) and male gamete (sperm, male reproductive/sex cell). It is also known as Zygocyte. On the other word, zygote is a fertilized
